AUGUST

AUG. 1-6 || SCALE THE SUMMIT is a music camp for kids of all ages and
abilities, open to strings, woodwinds, piano, guitar and harp. The camp will
teach students about instrumental and ensemble playing, listening and

AUG. 5-7 || 15TH ANNUAL BLUEGRASS AND BEER FESTIVAL, Keystone, Downhome
cooking, frothy flavors and mountain music are just a piece of the pie.
Folks gather while 30 microbreweries from Colorado and beyond showcase
their unique blends of hops and barleys. Live music. Kids Zone provides
entertainment for the kids with inflatables and wacky activities. Confirmed

AUG. 6 || LET’S PLAY BOCCE PUBLIC INSTRUCTION, 10 a.m., Come join

AUG. 6 || COPPER TRIANGLE BICYCLE TOUR, The famous Copper Triangle has
long been considered one of Colorado’s classic alpine road rides. The 2011
ride works in partnership with the Davis Phinney Foundation to raise funds

AUG. 6 || EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS – WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW IN THE HIGH
COUNTRY 10 a.m. Join Summit County Emergency Manager Joel Cockran for

AUG. 19-21 || WARRIOR DASH ROCKIES, It’s a mud-crawling, fire-leaping,
extreme run. Participants will conquer extreme obstacles and celebrate
their feat with music, beer, warrior helmets and muddy shorts. The live
music includes RockSkool, Hell’s Belles, as well as Hot For Teacher, a Van

AUG. 20 || CIRCLE THE SUMMIT. Circle beautiful Lake Dillon on paved bike
paths and roads that take you through some of our nation’s most spectacular
biking country. Start and finish on Main Street in Frisco, Afterwards, listen to
the music of “Music on Main,” a street concert. Your entry fee for Circle the
Summit provides support, improvements, and maintenance for the 65 miles of
Summit County’s paved recreation path system.

AUG. 20 || TENDERFOOT TRAIL HIKE, 9:30 a.m., Join locals (Jan Wiswell) for a
2 mile hike along one of Summit County’s most scenic trails, the Tenderfoot

AUG. 20, 21 || KEYSTONE BLUES FESTIVAL AND ART SHOW, Savvy Blues stretches
its acoustic roots through the Rocky Mountains. A classic art show, tasty

AUG. 27 || QUIZNO’S PRO CHALLENGE STAGE 5 FINISH, Breckenridge will host the
stage five finish of the inaugural Quizno’s Pro Challenge, a demanding sevenday
road biking race that will attract many of the top cyclists in the world.

AUG. 27 || SMALLEST FOOT PRINT, LARGEST IMPACT, 10 a.m. Naturalist Sarah

SEPT. 2-4 || COPPER COUNTRY, A free Labor Day festival tradition, Copper
